Overview: This course examines culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people in Australia and provides information and tips to help participants to increase and support diversity in their workplaces.

We look at what CALD means, statistics from around Australia and employment challenges. We then examine some workplace strategies to improve inclusion of CALD people in organisations and promote a culture of equality.

Why is this course important? CALD people experience difficulties when it comes to trying to find employment in Australia. Diversity of workplaces should reflect the diversity of our communities. To gain the full benefits of diversity, workplaces need to understand the differences within their workforce and be able to foster inclusive environments.

This course will help to build a broad understanding of CALD people and how they contribute to a diverse workforce.
