Overview: This course is about is about recognising, preventing and eliminating behaviour that could be considered sexual harassment in Australia. We also look at what to do if you are being subjected to, or witness, this type of behaviour.

Why is this course important? Sexual harassment is a prevalent issue in workplaces and can have negative consequences for an affected individual, for their colleagues, and for employers. This topic provides some helpful steps to assist employees and employers in eliminating all forms of sexual harassment in the workplace.

This course is based on federal Australian law, including legislation implementing recommendations of the Respect@Work: Sexual Harassment National Inquiry Report (March 2020), and should be read in conjunction with any particular legislation, guidelines, rulings, employment contracts, policies and procedures that apply to your particular role and workplace.
