Overview: Delegating tasks is an essential skill for leaders and managers. However, the planning and effort that goes into developing the skills to effectively delegate are often underestimated.

In this course, we explore why delegation is challenging and use a two-step process to help managers and leaders identify tasks they should be delegating, select the right people for those tasks and hold a delegation conversation with those people.

Effective delegation aids in improving teamwork and is key to a positive team culture. When delegating, it's essential you set clear expectations and provide feedback.

Why is this course important? As a manager or leader, if you want people to give you bigger projects, more staff, or more responsibility, or even if you just want your staff to respect you as a team leader, you’ll need to invest time and effort to learn to delegate tasks. It's hard to be an effective leader when you are simply distracted by too many other tasks you shouldn't be doing.
