Overview: This course examines more advanced techniques used in candidate interviews. It looks at a range of best practices to help interviewers find the best candidates, avoid issues of bias, be aware of illegal or inappropriate interview questions and provide follow-up to candidates to ensure a smooth recruitment process.

Why is this course important?  The talent management process for all organisations is as critical as ever as employee turnover increases and employee tenure decreases. 

Organisations often involve a range of staff in the recruitment process. Yet without an effective approach to candidate interviews, it is easy for hiring mistakes to occur - false impressions can be created about candidates who are actually a poor fit, while high-quality candidates may be overlooked. There is a huge investment in recruitment too - time, money, recruitment costs, induction costs and more - which demands that candidate interviews are conducted effectively.

Suitable for:  Managers, leaders and human resources teams, or anyone involved in talent management or candidate recruitment. This course addresses more advanced techniques in candidate interviews. There are additional topics on essential interviewing skills (good for learners new to interviews) and interviewing remote candidates.
