This mini course examines different types of phishing emails and the themes behind these attempts. It also explores how to identify authentic URLs to help recognise a phishing attack and avoid falling for it.

Why is this course important? Email phishing attacks are on the rise and, because they target employees rather than directly attacking software or hardware. In this element of information security, it is employees who are both the barrier and weakness.

Knowing how to recognise email phishing attempts is critical to implementing successful defence strategies.
