Overview: This course an introduction to project management. We first examine and define the concepts of projects and project managers, including the key skills and constraints which project managers work with. We then map out the four stages of a project to provide project managers with an initial framework when managing their project. Finally, we identify the most common mistakes made in project management and review a range of ideas to solve or avoid them.

Why is this course important? No matter what organisation you work for, what industry you work in or what your role is, project management typically plays a significant role. Whether you are managing a project, or a team member of a project, it is important to understand the overall success factors behind great projects.
