Overview: This course is a refresher on scaffolding safety for workers who use completed scaffolds as part of their role. It reviews how scaffolds fail, safe access practices, load limits and duty ratings, and exclusion zones, and looks at why complacency around scaffolding is so common and so dangerous.

Why is this course important? Scaffolding incidents are overwhelmingly preventable, but they remain one of the most serious causes of injury and death in Australian workplaces. This topic reinforces the everyday habits and awareness that keep workers safe around scaffolding and encourages workers to speak up and stop work when something looks wrong.

Suitable for: Workers who work on scaffolding and who have already completed formal scaffolding training, induction, or on-the-job instruction. It's a refresher only, doesn't replace that formal training, and isn't suitable for workers seeking to erect, dismantle, or modify scaffolding, which requires a High Risk Work Licence. This course doesn't satisfy or contribute to any licensing requirement.
