Overview: This is an 'Essentials' course reviewing how to identify, respond to, and manage sexual harassment and sex-based harassment in the workplace, in line with Australian legislation including the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), and work health and safety law. You'll review how to recognise unwelcome and unlawful conduct, understand the positive duty and other legal obligations that apply to you as a manager, as well as how to prevent, manage, and respond to incidents and complaints.

Why is this course important? Australian managers carry significant legal obligations to proactively prevent sexual harassment, not just respond to it, and failing to meet these obligations can expose both you and your organisation to liability. Understanding these obligations, and acting on them early, is what keeps your workplace and your organisation compliant

Suitable for: All managers and supervisors who need an efficient refresher to their legal responsibilities on sexual harassment under Australian law. 

This Essentials course assumes learners have already completed previous training on this subject (and is designed as a periodic refresher).
