Overview: This course is developed to provide an overview of effective work health and safety management, including your responsibilities under law and how to implement a risk management process. We explore common workplace hazards, including psychosocial hazards, and how you can reduce the risks associated with those hazards.

Why is this course important?  Poor health and safety practices not only lead to personal harm and injury, but also because workers, managers, supervisors and employers have duties under the model WHS laws. Hazards and risks with varying potential consequences can arise for all employees in all workplaces.

Suitable for: All employees covered by the model WHS laws in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Tasmania, Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia.

However, the model WHS laws will apply slightly differently in each jurisdiction. For accuracy, please ensure you consult the WHS laws enacted in your respective jurisdiction.
