Overview: This course is about Australia's Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) (Australian Modern Slavery Act) and what it means for you and your organisation.

We examine the risks of modern slavery in your operations and supply chains. We help you recognise signs of modern slavery in your workplace and how to seek help or support if you suspect modern slavery is taking place.

Why is this course important? Modern slavery exists as part of global supply chains. It is estimated that over 40 million people are enslaved in the world, in many industries and even in private homes. Unfortunately, Australian research suggests that less than 20% of victims of modern slavery are ever identified in Australia. It is critical that all employees understand the reality of modern slavery and the best practices in recognising signs of modern slavery in your workplace.

Suitable for: Managers and executives. It has particular relevance to anyone involved in operations and supply chain management.

Note: This course includes a detailed discussion of the Australian Modern Slavery Act and legislation impacting certain organisations. As a result, this course is more suited to managers and executives. For a more general awareness of modern slavery, the course Modern slavery awareness for employees, provides a more concise discussion of modern slavery issues (without the focus on legislation).

Online Assessment: Yes

Workplace Activities: None
