Project Management 09: Costs, Risks and Quality
Project Management 09: Costs, Risks and Quality
Duration: 34 minutes
Overview: The management of three key issues in the success of any project – costs, risks and quality. We start with an analysis of controlling costs, including an introduction to creating and reporting on a project budget. We then look at controlling risks, including a step-by-step process to build and implement a risk mitigation plan. We finish with a deep dive into quality control, including a look at the ‘Basic Seven’ quality control tools: Cause-and-effect diagram, Flowchart, Checksheet, Histogram, Pareto chart, Control chart and Scatter diagram.
Why is this course important? This course addresses the three key issues which often lead to a successful project. While a project manager may complete a project in its entirety, the success of a project is often benchmarked against KPIs other than simple completion – was the project completed on budget, on time and at the appropriate level of quality?
Suitable for: All employees. It assumes a basic understanding of project management and the stages of a project (covered in Project Management 1: Overview of this series).
This is course 9 of 13 in the series of courses on project management.
